Enrique Wedgwood Young //
I joined IOD PARC as a Consultant in early 2015, prior to which I held a series of positions in various public and private sector organisations in China, East Africa and the United Kingdom. My unique academic and professional background, which spans three continents, has given me a strong conceptual understanding of many contemporary development and governance challenges, as well as valuable insights into the practical difficulties often encountered in efforts to translate strategy and intention into results. Since joining IOD PARC, I have been involved in a number of evaluative and research assignments, including ongoing Monitoring and Evaluation support to the European Forestry Institute and the UK's Department for International Development. I am also currently engaged as part of a wider team in organisational assessments of the World Bank and UNICEF for the Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network. I am a skilled writer, researcher and analyst, comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation methodologies. I am particularly adept at translating complex concepts and data into formats suitable for broad audiences. In the past, I have worked alongside politicians, activists and civil servants to develop high-quality research and evaluation products on various subjects, including natural resource governance, climate change, trade and regional integration.
