External evaluation and strategic planning exercise for IDS CLTS Knowledge Hub
Client // Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
Country // USA
Date // 2011
In 2011 IOD PARC Conducted an external evaluation of the Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) 'knowledge hub', based in the University of Sussex's Institute for Development Studies (IDS). The Gates Foundation has provided financial support to the IDS CLTS Hub since the beginning of 2010 and is currently the primary donor for the Hub’s activities.
As a precursor to the main evaluation, we reviewed knowledge hubs and resource centres within the international development sector to identify how other hubs measure performance, success and value, and to inform the evaluation's assessment framework. The evaluation was followed by a strategic planning exercise with the CLTS knowledge hub team, taking into account the findings and recommendations from the evaluation.
In addition to the inception and final report, IOD PARC also provided an executive summary video.
